Shahi Paneer Traditional North Indian Dish

It has been a long time before I wrote about my favorite dishes and which are healthy. Today lets discuss how to prepare one of the healthiest food dishes Shahi Paneer, One of the famous dishes of North India.

As preparation of Shahi Paneer is very easy and as Paneer is easily available, this dish is prepared in most of the family occasions in North India. This article covers how to prepare this yummy dish.

Ingredients for Shahi Paneer

Paneer 500 gms
Onions - 3
Tomatoes - 3
Green raw Mirchi - 3
Jeera - 1/2 t spoon
Ginger Garlic paste - 10 gms
Turmeric  powder - 1/2 Tspoon
Salt - as per the taste
Red Chilli Powder - 4 T spoons
cashew nuts paste - 100gms
Refined Oil - 50gms
Garam Masala - 1/2 Tea Spoon
Coriander - as required

Procedure for preparing Shahi Paneer
Paneer is one of the most  easily available item in North India, especially you would love mother diary Paneer as it is readily available.

For preparing Masala, You need to take a pan, take some oil after getting hot, add ginger garlic paste, finely chopped onions and then fry till we get golden color

Then after that finely chopped mirchi, tomatoes, mirchipowder, jeera, Cashew nut paste should be added and should be boiled at small flame. Once this gravy is ready,  add salt,finely chopped paneer( turamadam) and then should be boiled for 10 minutes.

Once this gravy and Paneer is boiled for ten minutes, add 1 glass of water with half spoon of salt and boil it for 10 more minutes. I love adding garam masala powder at the end as it increases the taste.

Garnish the dish with Cashew Nuts and Coriander. Shahi Paneer is now ready to be served with your favorite breads. I love the combination of Shahi Paneer and Pudina Parantha. Paneer is one of the best dishes for vegetarians and you would love the combination of rotis (breads) with Shahi Paneer as it is not spicy.
